Entry to Year R in September 2024

National offer day for entry to Year R in September 2024 was on Tuesday 16th April. Information was sent on 19th April to parents of children who have been offered a place with details of next steps. We look forward to welcoming you to the school community.

Induction meeting for parents and carers

Please provide your child with a small, healthy, clearly labelled snack for your child. *You will be notified of your child’s class number prior to this visit.* During this session parents/carers are invited to a workshop where members of the school staff will talk about how you can support your child’s transition into school and particularly with early reading development.

Class Visits

Your child is invited into school to visit their class for a one hour session.

Home Visits

We believe that it is important and valuable for your child to meet their Class Teacher and their Early Years Assistant in their own home. These visits are 10 minutes in duration and will give you and your child an opportunity to talk about starting school and discuss daily routines.

Early Years Teachers and Assistants will be completing home visits on the following days:

Friday 6^th September 2024

Unfortunately we are unable to offer alternative dates for home visits.

Our aim for your child’s entry to school in September is to be enjoyable and exciting. We have therefore planned two patterns of entry so you can choose the one that will meet the needs of your child.
